I'm Mandy Kerth, founder and CEO of EHR Payment. Over the last 4 years I've studied hundreds of failed or failing audits to identify what causes them and how to address those situations through more specific supporting documentation practices. Understanding the audit side means my client's attestations will not contain the audit trip wires - the same one's that cause delays, denials and EHR audits.
I spend time gathering the highest and best supporting documentation which yields the very best outcomes every time. I include two to three times as much documentation compared to the average EHR vendor in every attestation I perform. I know inadequate and or insufficient documentation equals AUDITS. I gather the best documentation that establishes ALL of your relationships are in complete compliance with Federal & State specific guidelines. Plus, I guarantee my work in writing!
My promise is the EHR Payment Integrity Process®!

HOW DID EHR PAYMENT, LLC GET STARTED?
I’m Amanda "Mandy" Kerth, Founder and CEO of EHR Payment. I have a pre-legal studies degree from University of Alabama in Political Science and English. After graduation, my professional career has taken me in different paths. At the core, however, it has always involved legal research, report writing, data mining and legal processes. Most of that work has been in the field of appraisal, both personal property and commercial real property (real estate), for insurance companies, government, banking institutions and private estates among others.
In 2012, I decided to make a major career move and began selling in the EHR healthcare / information technology sector. Quickly, I began reading and researching hundreds of articles, laws, bylaws, Federal and State specific rules and guidelines alongside countless publications from the CMS. Early on, my clients began noticing my expert level knowledge on the subject and would call me for answers. I spent nights and weekends - hours upon hours reading and understanding the Medicaid EHR Incentive program.
In 2013, a corporate attorney for a very large Medicaid DSO group called me. Learning of my expertise in the field by a close colleague, he wanted me to personally enroll his providers in the EHR program. I gave him an affordable rate to perform the work under his direct supervision, he drew me up a contract and I began my journey attesting for large groups. My goal from the onset, was to get the client paid, but more importantly make sure they stayed PAID. Right around the corner, audits caused by negligent EHR Vendors were ALREADY appearing on the horizon.
By the beginning of 2014, several of my new large Medicaid DSO clients were directly in the line of fire of the recovery audit contractors. In every instance, these audits were created by negligent third party vendor(s) prior to my arrival. Immediately, I sprang into action supporting my clients in their newly discovered problems. I scoured over pages of audit notices, appeals drafts, emails and patient volume reports. At this time, I would begin developing what is known today as my proprietary, EHR Payment Integrity Process®, to provide specific documentation that directly addressed the auditor’s unfavorable findings.
Meanwhile, even more owners and partners desperate for answers, were calling me to find out how the company they hired failed to secure access to ONC Certified software on their behalf. TX Medicaid Dental providers (in particular) wanted to understand how their providers were docked for ‘non-patient’ volume. Infuriated, they wanted to understand why they were being forced to pay the money back to CMS and what would happen moving forward. This was only the beginning. I flew across the country to meet with owners, corporate attorneys, credentialing experts and began speaking in board rooms and on conference calls to detail the inaccuracies, lack of supporting documentation and the liability involved. More importantly how to move forward.
Since then, I have continued to support clients through the audit process, educating them about the program to remove the fear and successfully attesting for new providers to help offset the costs of mistakes made in the past. To date, for over 4 years now, NOT ONE OF MY CLIENTS HAS EVER BEEN AUDITED!
